Developing International Tourism Course
Hillary and I have decided on the structure of each module of the course. Each section will include lesson plans, a reading and question, a discussion point, multi-choice test (revision only), a powerpoint with teaching resource (notes), and supporting material.
In the future we wish to add effects to the picture as shown in Blackboard. eg add an introductory marketing lecture, or sounds

Hi Lynn, thanks for the update. Its great to see it start to take a conceptual form. You guys have probably had this conceptual frame for a while, but for those of us new to your topic and trying to help, its very helpful to have it articulated here so we can think about it.
I copied your items to the Wikiversity page and the first thing I noticed was will you create these items once for each topic, or once for each of the subtopics as well?
So for Tourism Industry you have 3 subsections: Introduction to tourism; Social, environmental and economic considerations; and Sustainable tourism. Will you need to create resources seperately for each of these, or can one do all?
The next thing I thought was whether you need that many items? You propose:
1. lesson plans
2. reading and question
3. discussion point
4. multi-choice test
5. slide presentation with teaching resource
6. supporting material
What about:
1. lesson plans and teaching resources
2. presentation, reading and discussion point
3. multi-choice revision test
4. learning support material
Or even:
1. teaching and learning support resources
2. presentation, reading and discussion point
3. multi-choice test

Hillary J says - thanks for summarising that for us Leigh. Yes you are correct we shall be doing this for each subsection however there are more than you have listed.
If you have any further suggestions regarding animating the picture please feel free to add - your one to put sound to the market place was great.
I will work on animating this image now. Can you guys please add all the subsections to the wikiversity page? or at least pass them to me and I will do it. Otherwise, I still have no idea of the real scope of this project yet.
